The SSA Fez’tive quiz attracted an impressive number of Saracens Supporters to the Old Albanians’ Clubhouse for an evening of head scratching, quizzical looks and memory searching in their quest to provide answers to a range of topical questions.

At the end of the evening, the ‘Four Wise Men’, somewhat appropriately triumphed in true Sarries’ style with a victory margin of 0.5 points! A narrow win, attributed to a fine defensive display and a kicking game which they cleverly adapted to the prevailing conditions. However, we await the verdict of the citing officer when he reviews the tapes to confirm whether or not the winning team were all men, or indeed, wise!
Amongst the many teams taking part was a group of rather young men representing the Saracens Academy.

Jackson Wray, Will Fraser, James Short, George Kruis, Henry Staff
They impressed us all with their abstention from the the curse of alcohol, but singularly failed to have any impact on the leader board! Nevertheless, it was great to see them there.

Keith, Mike and Beryl refereed the match and Social Supremo Kevin Waldock (Waldo) served as the TMO. Waldo sportingly spent the evening modelling the SSA 25th Anniversary, Special Edition polo shirt, and balancing a very limp and floppy fez(?) on his head.
Congratulations to the Four Wise Men on their victory, and a big thank you to Kevin, Keith, Mike and Beryl for making the evening such a great success.
Thanks also for the staff at Old Albanians for the use of the facilities and their food and drink service throughout the evening.
