Other interests, hobbies, activities, etc. Grandfather, voluntary chairman/director of a CAB, Rotarian, dog walker and specialist in avoiding household chores. I also enjoy socialising with all sorts of people, especially the many rugby supporters I have met over the years both at Saracens and in many strange places including Kuching (Borneo) and even as far afield as Northampton! Most memorable Saracens moments. Saracens moments mostly appear to feature European trips including Parma, Biarritz, Bordeaux and Toulon among others. Richard Hill’s last match sticks out as well. Most memorable non-Saracens moments: Walking in the Himalayas and getting up early in the freezing cold to watch the sun rise over Everest. Swimming in the Maldives with 6.5 metre long whale sharks and Manta Rays, with 4 metre wing span. Anything else? My wife played rugby until she was 50. Both sons played to a reasonable standard; they represented their county and then played for Bedford Blues. We have even converted our-son-in law from soccer to rugby and the three of them now play for Dunstable. |

Watching one son lead the team out at the Millennium Stadium and the other one lead the team out at Vicarage Road in the return match against the Ospreys Most memorable non-Saracens moments: The view from Table Mountain in Cape Town, any holiday relaxing in the sun. Anything else?: With two active boys don’t have time for anything else apart from being a taxi service. |

Most memorable Saracens moments: Watching Saracens beat Osprey’s at Vicarage Road in the Heineken Cup having been to Cardiff for the EDF semi-final the previous week. Most memorable non-Saracens moments: Winning my first squash tournament, driving 8hrs from San Francisco to Crater Lake only to find visibility at 10m and never getting to see the wonderful view. Kat Woodfine: Membership Secretary![]() Occupation: Post Doctoral Research Scientist at Cancer Research UK/ University of Cambridge Lives in: Stevenage Been supporting Saracens since: 2003, something quite significant happened in English Rugby that year – I wonder what. Other interests, hobbies, activities, etc. I edit the Saracens unofficial website, I enjoy sampling different variations of the margarita and I keep chickens. Most memorable Saracens moments: The Holy Trinity of consecutive away wins at Franklins Gardens and Welford Rd in 2010. The HC semi against Munster & Dave Seymour’s debut at HQ in the 2004 LDH ;o) Most memorable non-Saracens moments: I was part of the international team that sequenced the Human Genome, so the trans-Atlantic Blair/Clinton press conference announcing ‘The Book of Life’ was complete was pretty special, as was finding out the leader of our UK effort was being awarded the Nobel prize. Anything else?: I have a not-so secret weakness for crime dramas and think Colombo should be beatified. |

Lives in: Stanstead Abbotts Been supporting Saracens since: 2005 Other interests, hobbies, activities, etc. I am a keen tennis player, enjoy running having taken part in many 10ks, half marathons and the London Marathon in 2008. I have taken part in many stage rallies in the past and now do a bit of off roading to keep me amused. Most memorable Saracens moments: Beating the Ospreys at Vicarage Road in the 2007/2008 season after having lost badly to them at the Millennium Stadium. Memorable non-Saracens moments: Winning 2 regional rally championships and completing the London Marathon. Anything else?: There are both Gloucester and Harlequins supporters in the family! I suppose it could be worse – they could be Wasps supporters. |

Lives in: Stanmore Been supporting Saracens since: 1997, when they moved to VR. Other interests, hobbies, activities, etc. Photography, music (guitarist), high handicap golfer, ex-soccer player, marathon runner, bookworm, walker, enjoy and take advantage of good technology (get mad at the bad stuff), and 57 other things. Most memorable Saracens moments: May 9th 1998, the 76th min of the 2010 premiership final, Hugh Vyvyan’s drop goal against Biarritz, and the win over the Ospreys at VR. Most memorable non-Saracens moments: Climbing Sydney Harbour Bridge, breaking 3hrs in the London Marathon, dislocating both shoulders at the same time. Anything else?: I run the SSA website. My eldest daughter, another devoted Saracens fan, lives in……….Northampton! The first rugby game I ever went to see was at Kingsholm, and I came dangerously close to following another team of men in black who used to be based close to my present home. |
