Here’s a great offer for some entertainment before and after the Heineken Cup game on Sat 19th.

Friday night (18th November) from 7pm onwards there will be AUPA B.O. members getting
together in The Red Cafe, 9 Marechal Foch, Biarritz 64200 Tel- 00 33 (0)559242102. The owner, Fred, is putting on some free tapas for everyone and for those who want to eat something more substantial, he will have his restaurant open as well. We have also arranged for some Basque singers to be there. It would be great if any Sarries’ fans who are around in Biarritz on the Friday night could come along.

On Saturday there will be an opportunity to meet and take a drink before, and directly after the game in Le B.O. Cafe at the stadium. Afterwards most people will probably wander down to town and end up in the Red Cafe, where the restaurant will be open and tapas will be available but at the usual cost!

Visit Devon has been working with Exeter Chiefs on a range of promotions to encourage fans to come to Devon for matches – and to stay longer and enjoy more of the county. A number of hotels and attractions have put forward some offers aimed specifically at visiting fans. In addition to this, there is a fantastic prize draw running exclusively for visiting fans to win a short break (valued at £400). Just to clarify – this prize is not being used for any other promotions so the winner will be a fan from one of the clubs playing the Chiefs in Exeter this season. You can follow the link below to see the offers and details of the prize draw. So if you are planning to travel to Sandy Park for the match on 16th April, check the links in good time.

Saracens v Leinster @Wembley – Saturday 16th October

Following this week’s announcement that the Heineken Cup fixture against Leinster will be played at Wembley, here is some early notification of the facilities being offered by The Green Man to supporters of both teams.

On offer is a discounted special hotel rate for a two night stay (Friday and Saturday) for £100.00 on a room only basis per room. The room and breakfast option will cost £125.00, and this will include a full English/Irish breakfast served between 8am and 10am. This offer is only available by booking with The Green Man direct.

Discounted parking is available for those not staying in the hotel, charges are £12.50 per car and minibuses at the rate of £20 per minibus. This must be booked through the pub direct (0208 903 1441)

Coach parking is offered free of charge, but must be booked through the pub direct.

The SSA will be running coaches to Wembley, details will be available soon.

The above offers are available to both sets of supporters. They need to quote the Leinster or Saracens supporters clubs when booking rooms or cars.

On Friday 15th October (evening) there will be a Live Irish Band performing and they will probably be back for Saturday as well.

On Saturday 16th October (Match Day) there will be catering available, with a huge hog roasts. There will be 3 outdoor bars as well as the indoor bar facilities. An additional marquee will be set up in the garden to increase the amount of sheltered area outside the pub. There is a half acre garden with a covered patio area that has great views of stadium, as well as the large bar areas and conservatory inside. The pub is having a refurb in September and by the time October comes around, this will mean increased toilet facilities for the men, and therefore less queing.

So for a real pre- and post-match atmosphere have a look at the pub on You Tube on event days and you will see the large numbers that can be accommodated! The YouTube videos mainly show football supporters, so turn off the sound before you watch.

The Green Man is only a 5 minute walk to the stadium (downhill), so it means more drinking time and less walking time for the supporters!

Omitted from the list is the home Heineken Cup match against Clermont Auvergne as we await confirmation of the date as well as the venue.

In the table below, for those fixtures marked ‘On demand’, we will run coaches if enough supporters express an interest. In this case, please email travel@saracenssupporters.org to let us know.
