SSA’s growing membership

Strategically located at the junction of Vicarage Road and Occupation Road, the SSA launched a recruitment drive at the home game against Northampton Saints, aided and abetted by the Sensations and by Sarrie. A big thank you to those of you who signed up, renewed, or just stopped for a chat.

SSA membership offers discounted travel to away games, and discounted entry to SSA social events.  These will include the Fez-tive quiz, ‘Ask the Ref’

The Saracens Supporters Association will be manning a stall before and after the game against Northampton Saints on Sunday. You can find us near the merchandise stall at the junction of Vicarage Road and Occupation Road.  There’s never been a better time to join the SSA; apart from discounted travel to away games, we’re putting together an exciting programme of social events, and we are working with the club to get a special deal

Saracens v Sale – change of kick-off time

Aviva Premiership 2010/11 – here we go!

The new season kicks off tonight, at Sale, with the majority of the action of the opening weekend following tomorrow and on Sunday.  Here’s a round up of just some of the speculation in the press of what lies ahead.  Needless to say, there will be more to come, but the current consensus seems to throw the initiative to Saints, Bath and Sarries to stop the Tigers from making it a hat-trick of titles.

An outstanding game; might have gone either way; the lead changed hands seven times, but it was Leicester that got the final break.  So, congratulations to Tigers on winning the Guinness Premiership, and congratulations to Sarries for a magnificent and memorable contribution to a brilliant match, and a very special season.

Three Sarries’ women named in the England World Cup squad

Margaret Alphonsi, Charlotte Barras and Amy Garnett from Saracens Women are named in the England squad for the Women’s Rugby World Cup this summer.  Amy is the most experienced player in the squad with 86 caps to her name as she prepares for a fourth appearance in the Women’s Rugby World Cup.  Margaret and Charlotte will be playing in their second Women’s Rugby World Cup.

England will host the 2010 IRB Women’s Rugby World Cup
