I think as we draw to the end of the season that we should all applaud the efforts that have been made by our unpaid, overworked commitee. Without them where would we be, A big round of thanks must go to Julia for arranging transport to the far flung reaches of the empire, Three cheers for the commitee ,can't shout after Sunday

Hi All,

It's my first proper away trip ( apart from Quins / Wasps etc ) that I have organised to Exeter this weekend.

Hope the weathers as good as last week...be ideal...

We are going on the train Friday night so was wondering if there were any other parties organizing somewhere to meet up on Friday night / Saturday night?

I'm a UK based RM92 fan and have been over to the Colombes ground several times. Train journey from Gare St Lazare is good - buy your train ticket from a booth and remember to 'frank it' in the little machine at the top of the platform before you get on the train. Keep hold of tickets on both trains or Metro as you need them to exit some stations! If you haven't purchased match tickets prior to the game they are nearly always available to away fans on the gate (for example when RM played Wasps there at beginning of year, tickets were 6 euros and you could pretty much sit where you wanted to in the Nouvelle Tribune. The Bar/club shop (Bodega) is ok with a selection of beers and wines plus there is usually a BBQ or open air Tartiflette stand (potato, onion and bacon/ham gratin) served with fresh bread and great for chilly matches. Loo's are the portable kind i'm afraid. The club have huge plans to build a new stadium in the future. The link below is to the place i stay in when going to games. It's basic, clean and has a bar which stays open late but with the shutters down once the non-staying customers have gone home. Continental breakfast, great Hot Cholcolate and they make pizzas on site too. Located right next to the train station in Colombes (don't get confused with Bois Colombes and get off wrong station) but also 20 mins walking distance from Stade Yves du Manoir.

Hope this info is of help to travelling Sarries fans? Whilst the area is a mix of shops/commercial premises and high rise housing, i have never experienced any issues with the 'locals' or had any trouble (and I'm a girlie). The locals are friendly and if you stay at the hotel above, there are usually some RM fans willing to walk with you to the ground and back again.
