SSAway in Glasgow

Here's the one we've been waiting for since April 2017.

On Saturday night, 13 October, the XVIth Warrior have invited us to their City Centre hostelry of choice, Waxy O’Connors, 44 West George Street, G2 1DH. A unique pub over 3 floors with 9 spaces and 6 bars it has a gothic feel with gnarled tree ceilings, colourful mosaics and winding staircases. We met the XVIth Committee there in April and can confirm there’s a good food and drink selection.

We’ll be there with our friends in blue tartan from 7:00pm. Everyone welcome so please come and join us!

Hopefully we will all be in one piece come Sunday when we will renew old friendships and make some new ones by joining XVIth Warrior in The Club House at Scotstoun Stadium, which is based to the West of Glasgow.

The Club House is in the northeast corner of the stadium and should be open from 1:00pm. There’s a good range of drinks at very reasonable prices and the pies are something to savour with various fillings. There is often player and or management interviews before and after the match and a great atmosphere is guaranteed!

We’ve sold nearly 200 tickets and we know there are other fans travelling so, while we won’t match Warriors numbers when they last visited Allianz Park, we will make plenty of noise, have some fun and represent our club with honour.
